Join us for our event, ‘How to stay ahead for 286 years’ at the Van Lanschot Kempen offices in Amsterdam as we delve into the theme ‘From traditional to digital… and beyond’.

Over the past few decades, the banking industry has been an early adopter in leveraging new technologies, recognising and harnessing the power of digital transformation. It’s an industry that’s constantly reflecting on how its business models, culture, and talent are empowered by emerging tech while leveraging the immense potential of data to pinpoint how customers want to interact with banks.

The objective of the event is twofold: to provide a networking opportunity for our valued RightBrains community members in collaboration with our highly regarded partner, Van Lanschot Kempen (VLK), and to create awareness about the career possibilities in the fast-paced world of banking for jobseekers through the lens of VLK’s digital journey.

Our esteemed line-up:

Our host, Muriel Zeegers, MD Commercial Client Support and Monitoring at Van Lanschot Kempen, and our chairwoman: Geke Rosier, RightBrains Founder.
Arjan Huisman, Chief Operating Officer and member of the management board at Van Lanschot Kempen, will discuss the impact of digitalisation on careers, roles, diversity growth, and revenue. He will share how ever-rising client expectations, the need for cloud-based infrastructure, cybercrime, and the power of data drives innovation and diversity in the banking industry and the approach Van Lanschot Kempen has to meet its challenges head-on.
Wendy Winkelhuijzen, Chief Risk Officer and member of the management board at Van Lanschot Kempen, will take us through her career journey from intern to Chief Risk Officer. Wendy will share the challenges, triumphs, and how staying close to herself made her evolve into this role over time. Wendy will leave you with some powerful tips to advance your career.
Digital talent panelists: Feyza Sen, Product Owner Public Websites at Van Lanschot Kempen, and runner-up Digital Talent Award 2022. Born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey, Feyza moved to the Netherlands for her master's in media & business at Erasmus University. After a successful internship at Van Lanschot Kempen, she was offered a position as Product owner for a new team focusing on Digital Adoption and now, ready for her next challenge. Maria Papadaki, Data Engineer at Van Lanschot Kempen will reflect on the highlights of working in the digitised banking industry for a trusted heritage banking brand. She originally hails from Greece. After studying Computer Science, she came to the Netherlands for her master's in Information Sciences at the Vrije Universiteit. She didn't think working for a bank was for her, but after joining Van Lanschot Kempen as an external consultant, she decided this was the place for her. Now, she is the lead for several initiatives, driving technical innovation in the data realm.
