RightBrains community connects

The RightBrains platform is a space where women of all career stages can explore their tech interests, and network with peers and industry leaders. We are thrilled to share a recent connection story between two of our esteemed community members.

Janita Sluurman is the Chief Operating Officer at Datacompetent, a company specialising in training soft data skills. She explains her day-to-day: “As a data enthusiast, I help organizations and individuals to feel confident and prepared in an increasingly digital world. Thanks to my background in communication sciences and my experience in the data field, I make the right combination between theory and practice, and I bridge the gap between IT and business.”

Tertia Wiedenhof is the Product Manager and Product Owner: Global External Fraud Expertise at Rabobank, with a special interest in Data Analytics and Innovation and the demystification of working with data.

Janita and Tertia met through the RightBrains platform when they were matched by data as a common interest. Janita was co-organising the Dutch Data Forum at the time and identified Tertia as a potential speaker. They reached out to each other, and this interaction led to a successful presentation at the event!

Tertia found her involvement at the forum very rewarding. “It was wonderful to share knowledge at the Dutch Data Forum about how to make your organization more data-driven in an effective way. My key message was that the data is not the goal but a powerful tool to make better decisions.”
