Introducing the United Network!
RightBrains is delighted to announce a collaboration with leading women-in-tech initiatives to help accelerate progress to achieve gender balance in digital technology in the Netherlands.
This new collective, consisting of RightBrains, Women in Quantum Development (WIQD), Women in Cybersecurity Community Association (WICCA), Low-Code Ladies, SheSharp and AI4All, will aim to share knowledge, events and expertise amongst their communities. “We believe that an interdisciplinary collaboration will foster growth, connections and innovation,” says Geke Rosier, RightBrains founder. “While the number of initiatives promoting women in tech has grown significantly, the overall impact remains limited. By uniting, we can tackle challenges together, amplify our efforts, and build a stronger, far-reaching movement.”
The RightBrains United Network coalition partners are featured on the newly revamped RightBrains website, which aims to promote events, industry-relevant blogs, role model stories and research to women in digital technology in addition to sharing job opportunities at RightBrains partners to help women on their career journeys. What’s more, the United Network partners will also be featured in this year’s issue of the RightBrains DIGIDIVA Magazine, which will be launched at the upcoming Inspiration Event on June 20th.
"Our partnership is a wonderful opportunity to work together, to support diversity and to create a more inclusive future in STEM," says Judith Kreukels, Head of Programmes at WIQD. WIQD is a professional network in the Netherlands working in industry, academia and policy that envisions an inclusive quantum sector for women and non-binary people. Gabrielle Tang, Managing Director of SheSharp, a community-led platform that empowers underrepresented groups with opportunities to develop their tech-related careers, agrees that working together is the best way to accelerate momentum toward closing the gender gap in tech.
Tiarma Witte, co-founder of Low-Code Ladies adds: “When we met each other face-to-face earlier this year, there was great energy around the table. We are looking forward to seeing what sprouts from it. Low-code ladies is a community for those seeking to make an impact in the low-code landscape—just as they are. I like it that we can all be part of this collaboration with the triumphs and issues we face – together.”
Cybersecurity is another tech-related discipline represented within the United Network, and WICCA is keen to join forces with a network that will promote female digital leadership to build a stronger, more inclusive tech community. “We have a fair history of bringing together individuals, businesses, government, and universities to bring awareness about information security. It’s a natural next step to collaborate with other discipline-specific initiatives to extend our reach and support,” says Valentine Couture, founder of WICCA.
The sixth member of the RightBrains United Network member includes AI4All, an initiative with the mission to empower everyone to build accessible and inclusive AI. According to Karen Harriss, co-founder, the collaboration with RightBrains resonates with them because they believe in the power of diverse voices, ethical innovation, and collaborative impact.
“Our RightBrains theme for the year is United – and it’s an honour to see it come to fruition in such a practical and tangible this year. Thanks to the partners who are making this possible – and we hope others will follow suit,” Rosier concludes
