Digital Talent Programme

Where did Ada Lovelace, born in 1815, find inspiration to become the first computer programmer? And how did Katherine Johnson, an African American woman, become John Glenn’s go-to mathematician who verified the computer equations that would control the trajectory of his 1962 space flight from blastoff to splashdown? Both women showed a talent for mathematics at an early age, but it was their mentors who set them on their unlikely career paths.

Building a strong, diverse and inclusive IT organisation is an ongoing challenge for organisations. A lack of female role models and mentors is a significant barrier to career growth for women in digital technology. The RightBrains Digital Talent Programme offers a unique combination of expert workshops focused on skills development, three months of one-on-one career guidance from a female digital leader, and the opportunity to be part of a wider community of 1.200 like-minded women.

The RightBrains Digital Talent Programme started in March 2025. It supports women in navigating promotions, delivering on expanded responsibility, or working through a particular situation, challenge, or opportunity – and can lead to lifelong friendships! Participation is limited to 20 mentees.

Programme set-up

We believe in the power of cross-organisational mentoring. Before the programme begins, we will match you to a senior leader in digital technology as your mentor. The mentor matches are based on experience and digital interests, aiming to facilitate authentic and meaningful connections between mentors and mentees. You will meet each other at the kick-off event and together you will make a plan. At the end of the programme, we will meet again as a group during a grand finale event to celebrate, network and share our experiences and success stories.

Kick-off event  Meet your mentor!
Date: 27 March 2025; time: 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm.

Inspiring keynote speakers will take to the stage to share their career and mentoring stories, followed by break-out sessions for the mentors and mentees.
Mentors and mentees created their mentoring passports together, and will end the afternoon with drinks and networking.

Workshop – Building confidence by identifying your strenghts
Date: 17 April 2025; time: 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm.

Did you know that women are 44% less likely to ask for feedback? That on average we work 7 weeks more a year than men trying to reach perfection? This workshop helps you build confidence to take your career to the next level. Tools and strategies are provided to enable women to find their way confidently. We focus on empowering participants to dare to take risks, overcome obstacles and trust their own intuition.

After attending the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Find their strength and energy to face life with renewed confidence and optimism.
  • Be more confident in standing up for themselves.
  • Take charge and discover the source of their own power.
Workshop – Building an unforgettable you on Linkedin
Date: 15 May 2025; time: 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm.

During this workshop the participants will create their own Authentic Personal Brand Blueprint, which provides a solid foundation. After attending the workshop about Authentic Personal Branding, participants will be able to:
  • Connect fully with themselves and others in a authentic way.
  • Be more visible in the online and offline world from a thought leader perspective.
  • Create a strong and authentic personal brand which will benefit career development.
Workshop – The power of networking

5 June 2025; time: 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm.
Do you want to know the facts about building effective and resilient networks? Are you curious to learn how networking can help you mitigate the double disadvantage of women in the hybrid workplace?
In this session, we will lead the discussion on how distance bias affects networked connectivity differently for men and women. Participants will then create effective, personally relevant insights and strategies on how to build effective networks.

The grand finale!
24 June 2025; time: 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm.

  • Despite being aware of what I have achieved professionally and in life, I sometimes still feel insecure. During the mentoring process, I was reminded again how your unique experiences can be of value to someone else and that gave me a welcome boost of confidence and validation. It’s empowering to enable someone else to make a move in the right direction, and that ended up inspiring us both!
