Robert Laman: The convergence of training, data and technology

I am driven by one idea: real progress happens when disciplines come together to create something stronger than their individual parts. 

Alongside Johan du Pisanie, I am co-owner of RightBrains and form part of the leadership team. I am also founder and owner of Viewwave, where I work as a senior managing consultant in enterprise data and IT business analysis. Over the years, I have partnered with large organisations across the Netherlands, helping them navigate complex data and technology challenges and translate them into practical business outcomes. 

What excites me about RightBrains is the convergence of training, data, technology, and talent development. Organisations are under growing pressure to build digital capability, yet the pool of skilled professionals remains too narrow. RightBrains has the potential to address this gap by empowering women to progress their careers and by supporting organisations with access to well-prepared, future-facing digital talent. 

My focus is on strengthening the organisation’s commercial foundations, scaling its programmes sustainably, and ensuring that learning initiatives align with real market needs. By combining community, high-quality education, and strong partnerships, I believe RightBrains can make a meaningful and measurable impact on the digital ecosystem.
