Dr Zara Nanu is an entrepreneur and expert in building diverse and inclusive workplaces through data analytics and intelligent tech. As the CEO of Gapsquare™ from XpertHR, a leading provider of gender and fair pay analyses, her passion for change is supporting employers across the globe to create a fairer world of work.  

Gapsquare was established after Dr. Nanu heard the World Economic Forum's prediction that it would take 217 years before the gender pay would close. The technology uses advanced statistical analysis to identify variables for employee demographics and the causes of pay gaps, and then proposes and tracks remedial actions. The company was acquiredby London-based online HR resource firm XpertHR in 2021.

Dr Nanu’s unstoppable campaigning for efficient, technology-led workplaces with inclusivity at their core, has seen Gapsquare help companies deep-dive into their data and implement intelligent strategies to comply with regulation, keep pay fair and ensure employees are engaged and productive. Her efforts led to the accolade of being awarded an MBE in the Queen's Jubilee Birthday Honours list. 

Dr Nanu also sits on the Global Future Council on New Agenda for Equity and Social Justice at the World Economic Forum, and she is currently on the Women's Leadership Board at Harvard Kennedy School.
